Karen Morrison Skate-a-thon Thank You
Thank you to everyone who participated in the this year's Karen Morrison Skate-a-thon on November 28th.
One thousand nine hundred eighty five dollars ($1,985) were raised to benefit the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Karen Morrison Scholarship Fund.
This year's winners of the fundraising competition were Katie Levis (First), Kristen Mills (Second) and Jaimee Savage (Third). Congratulations!
Karen Morrison was a member of the Commonwealth Figure Skating Club and a graduate of Randolph High School. During her senior year at North Adams State College, she died of leukemia.
The Karen Morrison Scholarship was created in her memory and is one of the few scholarships specifically designated for figure skaters.
Karen is remembered for her strength, determination, and positive attitude, which is an inspiration to us all.
